What’s with the egg?

What’s not to like about eggs? (Unless you’re vegan). The superior breakfast food and the ingredient that binds everything else together to make things as wonderful as cake. And that’s the point.

I was trying to find a way to explain the value in my work. I’ve worked on the retail side and the tech side, so I know about trading, I can be creative, and I also know technically how to make websites great.

But my real value is being in between - the person that connects different teams, understands what everyone needs, can translate between them and ultimately… brings everything together to make something great.

My friend Lisa said that I’m like the binding agent. Like the egg in a cake.

And I like eggs a lot. I like them for breakfast as much as I like them on my handbags. So I decided it represented me perfectly.

Anya Hindmarch Egg Sticker

I worked as E-Commerce Manager for Anya Hindmarch - one of my favourite ever jobs and a brand I loved before I worked there and forever since.

One of her most iconic designs is arguably her fried egg that you can find on bags, shoes and stickers - and I have always been obsessed. I even got the new Anya Hindmarch egg cups for my birthday this year.

In 2017 we created an Egg takeover on the website - that’s how excited some folk get about this particular egg.

So, that’s why I chose the egg. It represents my style, my favourite meal, and it also represents how I work.

If you want me to be the egg (or aquafaba) in your business, give me a shout.
